OUR TENETS OF FAITH

29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. 31 And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Gen. 1:20-31 (KJV)

  1. Man is a sinner fallen from original righteousness and a high, intelligent and responsible place as the head of the present creation

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; Rom. 3:23-25 (KJV)

  1. Man is justified by Faith in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ resulting in supernatural regeneration from above.

1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  Rom. 5:1-2 (KJV)

  1. Man, animals and plant life have degenerated and are under a curse. Man chooses to continue in sin, sickness, and sufferings of the earth and only through redemption in Christ will the whole creation be restored to original perfection and goodness.

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Rev. 14:9-11 (KJV)

  1. Jesus Christ is the son of God in a sense that no other man is – the only begotten son of the Father

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.  1 John 5:7 (KJV)

  1. The birth of Jesus was supernatural
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.  Matt. 1:18-25 (KJV)

  1. The death of Christ was expiatory, not exemplary. He died for all men. His blood is the only atonement for sin and by His stripes we are healed.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.  Matt. 1:21 (KJV)

  1. Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, not spiritually or as a spirit being

  1. Jesus Christ ascended into glory and He will come again in like manner to rule the world eternally

50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. 51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. 52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: 53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.  Luke 24:50-53 (KJV)

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.  Acts 1:11 (KJV)
